Committee meetings in 2026 are scheduled for the third Monday of each month and will be held both virtually and in person at Mittagong RSL Club or Mittagong Hotel. Everyone welcome! Contact us for meeting information.

Committee Roles
Ever wondered how you can help get the Wildcats Pride? Below is a list of ‘official’ roles that any club needs to operate. Many voices make a great club and many PAWS make light work.

President
The President is the person with overall responsibility for Mittagong Netball Club’s administration.
The President should:
* Chair committee meetings and the AGM
* Represent the Club at external meetings, including SHNA meetings or ensure an appropriate proxy attends
* Perform a role in resolving disputes in accordance with the Complaints Handling Policy
* Have oversight of the registration and team selection processes
* Ensure the Club is operated in accordance with any applicable legislation, adopted Club Policy and/or resolution of members
Vice-President
The Vice-President assists the President in performing their duties.
The Vice-President should:
* Chair committee meetings and the AGM if the President is not available
* Represent the Club at external meetings, including SHNA meetings or ensure an appropriate proxy attends, if the President is not available
* Perform a role in resolving disputes in accordance with the Complaints Handling Policy
* Assist the President in ensuring the Club is operated in accordance with any applicable legislation, adopted Club Policy and/or resolution of members
Secretary
The Secretary is the administrator of the Club and provides a link between members, the committee and other organisations.
The Secretary should:
* Monitor and manage the mittagongnetballclub email
* Direct emails to coordinators when required
* Use a shared drive to store all relevant Club files and documentation
* Prepare and distribute all meeting agendas and minutes
* Liaise with the President on all matters arising with their duties or as directed between meetings
* Notify members of meetings
* Book meeting rooms
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the Club.
The Treasurer should:
* Manage the Club bank account
* Maintain full records on Club expenses and income
* Pay all invoices
* Report to the committee at monthly meetings
* Prepare documents ready for annual audit
* Produce the Club’s financial report for the AGM
Registrar
The Registrar ensures that the Club fulfils all its obligations regarding player registrations.
The Registrar should:
* Ensure the complete and accurate maintenance of Club membership for the season
* Maintain a database of current and past Club members, how many members, contact details, membership fees paid/not paid
* Manage start of season registrations for new and existing members
* Provide the Grading Convenor with full lists of each age group at the appropriate time
* Ensure all registrations are with the appropriate bodies by the due date
* Provide the Secretary with full team lists and relevant contact information
Umpiring Coordinator
The Umpiring Coordinator organises the weekly roster for umpire duty for all Club games and to provide support and mentor all umpires
The Umpiring Coordinator should:
* Coordinate roster for umpires for the season
* Liaise with SHNA to ensure appropriate placement of umpires
* Liaise with SHNA regarding acquisition of “levels” for junior umpires
* Provide information regarding training for all junior umpires
* Support junior umpires on game days and give direction where needed
* Assist Net Set Go Umpires where needed with regards to Umpire courses and information
Canteen Coordinator
The Canteen Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Club meets its obligations in the canteen on game day as directed by SHNA.
The Canteen Coordinator should:
* Prior to the start of the season, get the roster of the Club’s canteen duties from SHNA
* At the start of the season, allocate families to each of the canteen duties for the entire season
* During the season, liaise with team managers to ensure canteen responsibilities are being fulfilled
* Report to the Committee on canteen related issues
Media/Publicity Officer
The Media/Publicity Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Club’s communication strategy.
The Media/Publicity Officer should:
* Maintain the Club’s website
* Maintain the Club’s social media pages (Facebook and Instagram)
* Update, modify and post all relevant notices and information across social media
* Promote Club events and achievements on social media
Coaching Coordinator
The Coaching Coordinator ensures the successful management of the coaches and managers.
The Coaching Coordinator should:
* Liaise with coaches regarding training day/times and game day
* Report to the Committee on coaching/manager related issues
* Communicate to coaches/managers through a messaging platform
* Prior to the commencement of the season, liaise with team managers and coaches to ensure each team has all required equipment
* Mentor junior coaches and facilitate the foundation coaching course and further accreditation
Uniforms Coordinator
The Uniforms Coordinator oversees the stock management of the Club’s uniform.
The Uniforms Coordinator should:
* Ensure adequate stock of uniform (dresses and shorts) is held
* Order hoodies, training shirts and other items not held in stock on an annual or as needed basis
* Place orders with our suppliers and monitor quality of stock
* Monitor and ensure payment of uniform against purchase and liaise with players regarding uniform pick up
* Report to the Committee on any uniform related matters
* Undertake uniform stocktake at the end of season
Fundraising Coordinator
The Fundraising Coordinator coordinates all fundraising within the Club.
The Fundraising Coordinator should:
* Provide a list of fundraising activities for committee discussion and approval
* Organise volunteers to help carry out these fundraising ventures
* Work in consultation with the Media/Publicity Officer to advertise fundraising events
* Identify and liaise with potential sponsors regarding sponsorship opportunities
* Apply for grants or other forms of financial assistance such as Club Grants
* Work alongside the Treasurer to ensure all monies from sponsorships, donations, fundraising events are banked
General Committee
Our General Committee members provide support and assistance to the Club.
A General Committee member should:
* Help out with tasks that come up throughout the year
* Keep up to date with Club matters
* Promote the Club in a positive manner
* Attend committee meetings when they can
Coach
A coach is a person designated to a team who supports their players and leads them through the netball season.
A coach should:
* Have an understanding of their players, their reasons for playing and how they are getting on within the team
* Give clear and concise instructions and provide feedback to help players learn, develop and progress their game
* Guide their players by modelling exemplary attitude, behaviour and approach to the game in accordance with the Wildcats ethos
* Have a good understanding of netball skills, error detection and how to help players improve their skills
* Have a duty of care by prioritising the safety and well-being of all Wildcats players
* Encourage and support opportunities for participation in all aspects of netball
* Plan, prepare and hold weekly training sessions and be present at every game possible to help their players develop
* Collect Player’s Player nominations each week and give to Registrar to record
* Hold a team building activity (for example, a pizza dinner) during the netball season
* Communicate to team managers relevant information from the committee
Team Manager
A team manager is a person who supports a specified team and its coach by assisting with organisation and communication.
A team manager should:
* Communicate to team parents regarding training times and game details
* Provide updates on game cancellations
* Provide information from the club or coach to team parents as required
* Organise a team parent to score each game
* Take photos at the games and provide to Media Officer for social media
* Organise team attire and hairstyles for the annual crazy hair and sock day
* Organise end of season gift for the team coach
